James Rayland Brotherton II, age 50 passed away on February 1, 2018 at his home in Manassas, VA. He was born on December 24, 1967 in Falls Church, VA to James Rayland and Peggy Louise (Deyarmin) Brotherton. James worked for Fairfax County Public School for the last 20 years. Previously he worked for the City of Manassas Park. He was an avid hunter and cast-iron collector and restorer. James was a devoted Christian and was loved by many. Predeceased by his father James Rayland Brotherton. He is survived by his mother: Peggy Deyarmin of Manassas, VA; his loving wife of 12 years, Susan Brotherton of Manassas, VA; his daughter: Nicole Brotherton of Manassas, VA; three brothers: John Brotherton of Nokesville, VA, Jack Brotherton and wife Rosie of Redhouse, VA, and Justin Brotherton of Manassas, VA. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
