James R. Ross, 84, of Whiteland, passed away at his home Sunday, January 25, 2015. James was born September 29, 1930 in Cambellsville, Kentucky to Frank and Lula Ross.
James retired in 1992 from Allison’s of Indianapolis after some 42 years of service. He was an U.S. Air Force veteran.
He is survived by two sons, Anthony (Debra) Ross of Greenwood and Adrian (Gidget) Ross of Whiteland, three sisters, Barbara Bridges and Pamela Zimmerman both of Nineveh and Mary Radford of Florida, six grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren, and companion, Alta Butler of Franklin.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Doris Blanche (Shipley) Ross, a son, James Mitchell Ross, four brothers, Gerald Ross, Charles Ross, Douglas Ross and Russ Ross and two sisters, Elizabeth Ann Patrick and Hilda Mae Cooper.
