James R. Rogacki, 67, of Marigold Way in South Bend, IN (formerly of Elkhart, IN) passed away at 11:26am Tuesday, June 7, 2005 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, following a sudden illness.
He was born on September 7, 1937 to the late Roman J. and Mae M. (Dyczko) Rogacki in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Rogacki retired in 2002 from Sears Roebuck & Company, where he worked in Loss Prevention for 6 years. Prior to that, he worked as a Purchasing Agent at NIPSCO for 18 years.
On June 1, 1968, he married Karen S. Light in South Bend, IN. She survives.
Along with his loving wife of 37 years, he is survived by two daughters, Robin R. (John) Scaro of Naperville, IL; Julie A. Edwards of Seabrook, TX; one son, Richard J. (Carol) Rogacki of Lansing, MI; and five grandchildren, Thomas Edwards; Robert and Eric Rogacki; Jack and Lilly Scaro.
Mr. Rogacki was an avid Chicago Cubs Baseball fan, Chicago Bears Football fan, and Notre Dame Sports fan. He loved to play golf, and enjoyed smoking cigars.
