James R. Jarrett, 84, of 1041 Stella Rd., Patrick Springs, VA died Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at the Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. Born March 22, 1927 in Patrick County, he was a son of the late Charlie W. Jarrett and Lucy Holland Jarrett and was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Plaster Jarrett, sister, Elizabeth Critz and by two brothers, Hughes Jarrett and Robert Jarrett. Mr. Jarrett was a member of Old Well Christian Church and had retired from W. M. Bassett after more than 25 years of service. Surviving are two sisters, Nellie Brim and Ann Turner both of Spencer, VA and by several nieces and nephews.
