James R. Isaia, Jr. of Edgewater Park and formerly of Burlington Township passed away surrounded by his family at Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia. He was 45 years old. Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Joan Isaia (Dons), and their sons Christopher Dons, who gave him his cherished granddaughter, Taylor Dons, and Michael Dons, who made him proud to be a father.

Jim is also survived by his loving parents James R. Isaia, Sr. and Marianne Isaia of Southampton and his adoring brothers and sisters and their children: Monique McOwen and her husband, Joseph McOwen and their children Colleen and Thomas Kelly; Regina Farlekas and her husband Michael Farlekas and their children Mia and Sophia Farlekas; Jeffrey Isaia and his wife Michelle Isaia and their children Isabella Isaia and Jake Neidermeyer; Vincent Isaia and his children Shelby and James R. Isaia, III; and Kelly Isaia and her fiancé© Vincent Molinari. Also, survived by his brothers and sisters in law, Michael Ubele, Debbie and Christopher Speer, Pam and Dave Frambes, Patrick and Audrey Ubele, Peggy and Ken Peak, Clare and Joe Ferris and all their children.

Jim is also survived by countless friends whom he had made over the years. Jim was born in Mount Holly, raised in Burlington Township and attended Holy Cross High School. Thereafter, Jim attended Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina, where he earned a B.S. in Computer Science and was a brother and officer of Phi Kappa Theta fraternity. Upon graduation Jim moved back to NJ and went on to co-own Vinnie’s Italian Bakery in Burlington Township and Atlantic Bakery and Deli in Laurel Springs. During this time Jim was also a member of The Oneida Boat Club in Burlington City. Most recently, Jim was the General Manager of The Bagel Factory in Philadelphia. Jim had an avid love of golf, cooking, landscaping, telling stories with his wonderful sense of humor and spoiling his german shepherd, Trina. Jim was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed.
