James “Dick” Taylor, 81, went home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on September 3, 2015. He was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on March 28, 1934 and was adopted by James and Jewel Taylor. In his teens and twenties, he was a semi-pro golfer and up until his passing watched as much golf as possible. He was a wildlife biologist and retired as Chief Engineer with the Corps of Engineers. He loved the mountains and everything they offered, his mules and his family. James is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, JoAnn Taylor; son, Robert (Bonnie) Taylor; daughter, Kimberly Hellerich; daughter, Karen (James) Forson; grandchildren, Bobby (Reva), Brian (Lindsey), Stevie (Tamas), Chris (Chelsea), Tyler, Alexia, Gracie, Shalynn, Jennifer, James Michael, David, Kayla, and Katie; as well as great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Layla, Leikyn, and soon to be baby Molly Rose. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Debbie; and son, Chris David Taylor.
