James R. Brown 87 of the Holiday City Carefree section of Berkeley Twsp died on Sunday October 29, 2017 at Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ.
Born in Rumford, Maine, he lived in Green Brook and Absecon, NJ before moving to Holiday City. James was a proud Veteran of the US Navy. He worked for Ortho Pharmaceuticals in Flemington as a Product Packaging Developer.
He later owned the Washington Deli in Green Brook and then the Clinton Hardware Store in Clinton, NJ. James was a Golf Fanatic and a Past President of the Green Brook Golf Assoc. He was also a member of the American Legion. Surviving is his loving wife Eunice nee Kelly. Son Bill and his wife Elaine of Scarborough, Maine and a daughter Donna O’ Donnell and her husband Robert of Toms River. 9 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.
