James P. Wells, 65, of Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2012 at home surrounded by his family. He was born February 23, 1947 in Rushville and graduated from Carthage High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force in Radio Operations and retired from the Indianapolis Star as a route driver in 2009. He was also a member of the Outlook Christian Church.
He is survived by daughters Sheila (Ron) Porter of Bedford, VA and Cynthia (Richard) Archer of McCordsville; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his mother, Laura (Loveall) Wells of Raysville; brothers: Daniel (Janice) Wells of Knightstown; Jerry (Marlene) Wells of Carthage; and Lyod Dean Wells of Raysville; and sisters: Geneva Wells of Noblesville; Connie (Charles) Tucker of Indianapolis; Becky Wells of Raysville; and Candice (Michael) Dollitt of Spiceland. He was preceded in death by his wife Sherra (Goble) Wells; father Clyde Wells; brother Richard Wells; and sister Nina Jo Wells.
