James Patrick Noonan, 80, of McNabb, passed away June 27, 2010 at Illinois Valley Community Hospital, Peru.
Mr. Noonan was born January 13, 1930 in Odell, Illinois to Francis and Theodosia (Murphy) Noonan. He was in the United States Navy. He married Mildred Alarid on June 23, 1951 in Oakland, California. Mr. Noonan was a district manager for State Farm Insurance in Peru for 31 years. He was a member of Peru Eagles, Scoutmaster Troop 12 of Peru and St. Patrick Catholic Church, Hennepin, Illinois where he was a Lector & Eucharistic Minister. He was past president of Illinois Valley Life Underwriters. He was a volunteer for St. Margarets Hospital in Spring Valley and Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harringen, Texas and helped with AARP tax preparation for senior citizens.
He is survived by his wife Millie of McNabb; 1 daughter, Sue (Jammer) Seifert of McNabb; 5 sons, Patrick (Iris) Noonan of Richmond, Virginia, Gary (Cynthia) Noonan of Amboy, Illinois, Mike (Mary) Noonan of Fort Wayne, Indiana, David (Ellen) Noonan of Elk Grove Village, Illinois and Robert Noonan of Peoria, Illinois; 10 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter in infancy; 4 brothers; and 5 sisters.
