Mahwah- James Henry Morriss, 83, formerly of Upper Saddle River, passed away on May 5th.
Born in Bogota, Colombia in 1932, first of six children of Elena Melo and Leslie Morriss. Graduated with degree in Mechanical Engineering from Loughborough University, Leicestershire, UK.
Worked at Standard Tool and Manufacturing Co. in Lyndhurst, NJ for over 25 years. Once retired along with his wife Alix, opened a Travel Agency in Waldwick. This gave them the joy of business ownership along with the opportunity of extensive travel, which became their passion.
Husband to Alix Morriss for 57 years. Father of James L. Morriss of Peekskill, N.Y., and wife Maria, Ron Morriss of Allendale, and wife Belinda, Patricia Martini of Ho-Ho Hus and husband, Robert. He leaves six loving grandchildren, Chris, Alec, Katy, Julia, Ruby and Jennifer. Predeceased by his son Mark William Morriss.
