MINOR, JAMES D., 85, of Birmingham, passed away peacefully at Kirkwood by the River, October 2, 2009 with his wife and children by his side. James was a dedicated Christian, loving husband, father, and grandfather. James served in the Army during World War II, and retired from Alabama Power Company, after 35 years of loyal and dedicated service. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Nell McCary Minor, two children, Nelda Shemberger (Brent) of Pelham, AL, Danny Minor (Janice) of Trussville, AL, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
