James “Mike” Brooks age 63, of Newnan, passed away February 5, 2012 at his residence. He was born November 12, 1948 to the late James E. Brooks and Mary E. Loner. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Brooks and sister, Judy Fisher and grandson Tristen Brooks.
Mike was a Vietnam veteran serving as a sergeant in the U.S. Army. He was a former U.S. Deputy Marshal, Chief of Police with Peach tree City, Security Officer for Kay Jewelers and Egleston Children’s Hospital.
Survivors include his sons, Pat & his wife Carrie Brooks, Jon & his wife Cecilia Brooks; brother, Danny and his wife Vickie Brooks; sister, Janice Blankenship; grandchildren, Cora, Mackenzie, Conner, Madison and Gracie Brooks; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
