James M. Kehoe Sr., 88, of Union Pier, Michigan, died on Wednesday morning, June 20, 2007.

Jim was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 16, 1918, the son of Lawrence and Sara (Grey) Kehoe. On September 27, 1941, he married Lorraine Pionke in Chicago. Jim served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII stationed in Alaska and the Aleutian Islands.

He was employed by the South Shore Railroad, retiring in 1983 after 30 years of service. He had been a member of the Edward C. Sexton Post # 169 American Legion, New Buffalo and St. Mary of the Assumption Church. Jim enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and loved being a father and a grandfather, and attending family functions.

Survivors include his wife, Lorraine; children, James M. (Linda) Kehoe Jr. of Galien, Michigan; Kathleen (James) Ziska of Berrien Springs, Michigan; Maureen (Walter) Wover of Darien, Illinois; Lawrence (Ada) Kehoe of Laporte, Indiana; Michael (Kathleen) Kehoe of Michigan City, Indiana; Janice (John) Kenna of Union Pier, Michigan; Brian (Lisa) Kehoe of Lakeside, Michigan; Robert (Estela) Kehoe of New Buffalo, Michigan and Gayl (J.C.) German of Three Oaks; 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
