James Matthew Kopf of Waldron, Arkansas went to be with his Lord and Savior, Monday, August 10, 2015 in Waldron, Arkansas surrounded by his loving family. James was born in Paris, Arkansas to William James Kopf and Josephine (Freeman) Kopf on November 6, 1930. James was 84 years, 9 months and 4 days old. James was a longtime member of Winfield Baptist Church in Winfield Arkansas.
James married the love of his life, Nadine when they were just youngsters. Together they began their lives and started their family with three children. James was a dairy farmer and timber worker. He worked side by side with his wife and son for many many years. Together they took care of the farm and raised their cattle. James was happiest when he was outside on a tractor or in a dairy barn. James loved his family. He especially enjoyed when his grandchildren and great grandchildren were around and he could pass on his legacy and share his love of the farm with them. Treasured memories will never be forgotten.
James leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 63 years, Nadine Kopf of the home, one daughter, Debbie Nelson and husband Ronnie of Waldron, Arkansas and one son, Bryan Kopf and wife Sharri Kopf of Waldron, Arkansas. Pawpaw will forever remain in the hearts of his grandchildren: Wesley Nelson and wife April, Rachel Nelson and husband Moses Piggee, Kelsie Elmore and husband Derek, Brandi Shelton and husband Travis and Kristi Franklin and husband Neil as well as 10 great grandchildren. James will also be remembered by one sister, Eilene Bell and husband Gary as well as four nieces and three nephews. James will be missed by all that knew him and the many whose lives were impacted by him including an extended family of friends, neighbors and loved ones.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Jo Kopf, and one daughter, Stephanie Kopf.
