Those left to honor James’s memory are his wife, Pam Troutner of Newton; 3 sisters, Gloria “Toot” Brown of Gilman, Iowa, Dolores “Dodie” Nichol of Newton, and Cheryl (Kevin) Krough of State Center, Iowa; his brother, Steve Troutner of Baxter, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester W. and Marine E. (Angel) Troutner; brother-in-law, Gary Nichol, and niece, Stacey Brown.
James worked for the Jasper County Highway Department as a road grader operator for many years, retiring in 2004.
