James Leland Sharp
James Leland Sharp, 68, of Rowlesburg died Wednesday, April 6,2016 at his home with family by his side.
He was born December 7, 1947, in Marlinton, a son of the late Lloyd and Ella Beatrice Galford Sharp.
James was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was a U S Army veteran, coal miner, looked after of his own beef and dairy cattle and took care of Castle’s herd of cattle. He loved feeding deer and was well known as the lawn mower repairman.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Betty Cottrill Sharp; his son, William Sharp and wife, Belinda of Fellowsville and his daughter, Tonya Robinson of Rowlesburg; three sisters, Shirley Johnston of Fairview, Glenna Adkinson of Weston and Lucille Sharp of WV; seven grandchildren, Mason, Sean, Saleena, Derek, Anthony, Gary and Brittany and ten great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Earl and Charles and two sisters, Ruth and Erma Jean.
