James Lee “Chop” Callen, 68, passed away at his home on December 16, 2020. He was a native of Birmingham, AL and a resident of Wagarville, AL, since age 12. “Chop” graduated from Leroy High School in 1971. He was self employed as a mechanic. James was known in the community to help many folks in many ways, especially when it came to working on their vehicles. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his many life-long friends that he loved dearly. James also loved building model cars with his grandchildren and teaching them mechanic skills.
