James Lawrence Hafner, 77, of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 three days after his beloved wife Pamela. He was born on June 9, 1944 in St. Paul, Minnesota to the late Lawrence and Marjorie (Gunderson) Hafner. The family moved to Indianapolis before he started grade school at St.
James was a graduate of Cathedral High School, class of 1962 and was a salesman for Central Rubber and Supply, then for Vonnegut Industrial Products and finally Kennametal prior to retirement. He was a member of St.
Survivors include his children, Joseph Lawrence (Daniel Paradis) Hafner, Maria Christine (Brad) Montgomery and Tanya Jean (Steve) Rowland; grandchildren, Amanda (David) Glidewell, Katie (Mark) Creviston, Emily (Kevin) Reece and Erin (Wyatt) Stevens; and great-grandchildren, Abigail, Julia, Lydia, Oaklynn, Oliver and Asher. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Colleen Margaret Hafner; and brother, Gary Hafner.
