James Ralph “Buddy” LaGrosse
James Ralph LaGrosse, 68, passed away April 30, 2013, at Fort Walton Beach Hospital surrounded by loved ones. He was born on Sept. 12, 1944, in Crestview to Nicholas LaGrosse and Bessie Sowell.
Buddy grew up in Destin. He attended Choctaw High School in Fort Walton Beach until he joined the Navy in 1964 and served in Vietnam. He retired in 1987 as a highly decorated veteran.
Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas LaGrosse and Bessie Allen.
Buddy is survived by his sons, Darrin (Andria), Joey, and Jon (Erin) LaGrosse; sisters, Nikki Adams and Ann (Jess) Clark; grandchildren, Logan, Haileigh, Katelyn, Brooke and Blake; and many nieces and nephews.
