James L. Ross, 94, of Anderson, passed away November 26, 2015 at Miller’s Merry Manor Chesterfield, IN. He was born January 13, 1921 in Petal, Mississippi and resided most of his life in Anderson, IN.

He was retired from Greer Steel Corporation and formerly worked at Wisconsin Knife Works, Division of Black and Decker and Delco Remy, Division of General Motors.

James served his country in the United States Army, during World War II. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Anderson. James loved to bowl and fish and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

James is survived by his children, Darlene (Michael) Ginder of Anderson, Ann Hinton of Richton, MS, Marshall (Anita) Ross of Anderson, Robert “Bob” (Diane) Ross of Anderson, & James Calvin (Belinda Sue West) Ross of Anderson; son-in-law Jack Bryson of Brazil, IN; grandchildren, Annette Hinton, Teresa Waites, Nathan Hinton, all of Richton, MS, Shannon Bodkin, Curtis A. Ross, Adam K. Ross, Norma Lynn Bryson, Rex Bryson, and Shannan Haidle all of Anderson; and nineteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Dovie Ross; daughter, Loretta Bryson; his parents; and two sisters, Peggy McCormack Hoppes, and Jewell Poteet .
