Anderson – James L. “Jim” Hahn, Jr., 74, passed away Tuesday morning, April 15, 2014, at the St. Vincent’s Regional Hospital following a brief illness. He was born on June 28, 1939 in Muncie, the son of James L. and Emma M. (Huggins) Hahn ,Sr.
Jim married the love of his life, Sandra R. (Smith) Hahn on October 18, 1968 in Muncie and she survives. Mr. Hahn graduated from a cooperative GED program with General Motors and Anderson University. He had worked for General Motors Corporation of Anderson for 35 years retiring in 2002 as an inventory specialist or “Tugger”. Jim was proud to have served in the United States Navy as a boiler specialist. Mr. Hahn had been a member of the Muncie Kiwanis Club, where he had served as the Past President and Past Lt. Governor, the United Auto Workers Union Local #663. Jim enjoyed photography and several genres of music. Family times with his children and grandchildren were very special to him.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Denzel; one nephew , Robert “Bobby” Hahn II.
