Mr. James Capers, 81, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022 at his residence.
James Junior Capers Sr. also known as “Mr. C” was born on August 30, 1940, in Kingstree,
South Carolina to the late Henry Wilson Sr. and Ida Capers-McCline. He peacefully entered
eternal rest on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at home.

James moved away from his hometown to Greensboro, NC at an early age. There in North
Carolina he met the love of his life and wife Juanita Carol Williamson. The two married in
August of 1973 and remained that way until her death on January 8, 2016. James worked at

years of service. After working traditionally, he still found ways to stay busy whether it was lawn
work, handwashing his cars and if you stopped by, he would wash yours too. He loved watching
Walker Texas Rangers, Gun Smoke, and formula one racing. His favorite NFL team was the
Washington Commanders “Redskins.” Aside from watching tv, it was not uncommon to see him
riding bikes around the neighborhood and at park trails.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry Lee
McClorin, Henry Wilson Jr., Joe Louis Wilson, and Carolina Wilson. One special cousin like a
brother Sammie “Rabbit” Capers Sr. also preceded him in death.
