James “Jimmy” Frederick Arnold

James Frederick Arnold, 89 of Knottsville, passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, with his beloved kids by his side. As Jimmy passed through the gates of heaven the trumpets sounded. He was born in Grafton, December 7, 1931, son of the late Charles Harter and Corda (Laduska) Albright Arnold. Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife Sarah Irene Kirby Arnold October 19, 2019.

He was a graduate of Grafton High School, Class 1950, served his country in the US Coast Guard and US Army. Jimmy retired from C&P Telephone Company, and was the instrument to begin the Bread of Life Mission in Grafton that is still in operation today. He was an inspiration to many as he would make time to visit his friends, go to hospital, jail and nursing homes to share the word of the Lord. He loved his Lord and was a lifetime member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Jimmy loved sharing the Word with his family and friends as he spent time making memories with each of them.

Jimmy is survived by one daughter, Lisa Patterson (Roger), three sons, David Arnold (Yong), John Arnold (Sherry) and Eric Arnold (Michelle), all of Grafton, seven grandchildren, Adam, Sonya, Laura, Kara, Brandon, Miranda, and Hannah, great grandchildren, Trevor, Trey and TJ, Lily, Colton, and Peyton one sister Carolyn Sessions (Jay)Grafton, three sisters-in-law, Mona Moore (David), Betty Stansberry, and Flo Boyles.

In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by one grandson, Jake Patterson, four sisters, Helen Moore, Mary Bunner, Frankie McDaniel, and June Satterfield, and one brother, Charles Robert Arnold, several sisters and brothers- in-law.
