James Edward Ash, better known as “Jimmy”, was born on August 6, 1970, to the union of Jerome C. Ash and Henrietta Ash.
He lived and worked in Greenville, South Carolina. He eventually settled in Indianapolis, Indiana. He attended Decatur Central High School, and earned his G.E.D. Over the years, he worked in various restaurants as a cook.
James gave his life to the Lord at an early age. He had a way of touching peoples lives and a had smile on his face that touched many people.
James went to sleep, and woke up with the Lord on July 7, 2019.
He leaves to celebrate his home going his parents; two brothers, Jerome “JJ” Ash, Jr. and Gregory Ash; his children, Devante Ash, Kyle James Ash, and Marlene James Ash; nieces, Neveah Ash, and a host of aunts and uncles, many cousins and a host of friends.
James will be embraced by his Lord and Savior. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mabel Toombs and James Ash, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Edward Anderson and Carolyn Anderson; maternal aunts, Kathleen Kennedy and Peggy Kidd and maternal uncles, Larry Kidd, Mark James Oates, and Willie Oates.
