James “Jim” Robert Ogren passed away at his home on Sunday, January 16, 2022. He was born in Ewen, MI, son of John and Linda (Honkanen) Ogren. James grew up in Marquette and Kalamazoo, MI. He graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School. Jim retired as an electrician from Kalamazoo Public Schools.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John R. Ogren; and sisters-in-law, Donna Gossett, and Rita Kohnke. On July 22,1961, Jim married the former Clara Kohnke who survives. Also surviving are his daughters, Janice Marie Ogren, Lisa Kay Balcuns (Doug Ivens), and Pamela Ann (Rock) Bartley; granddaughters, Nicole Balcuns (Don Ingersoll), Alana Bartley, and Evelyn Bartley; great-granddaughter, Emily Ingersoll; sister, Grace Kiser; brothers-in-law, Ed Gossett, and Walter Kohnke; and several nieces and nephews.
