James “Jim” Allen Lewis, 75, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away August 12, 2020. He was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on September 23, 1944 to Allen Lewis and Martha Mae (Crowthers) Lyons. “The Judge”, as he was known to his many friends and acquaintances overcame the loss of his sight at a very early age. He was educated at the Indiana School for the Blind and was a proud Gerstmeyer High School Black Cat. He graduated from Indiana State University and received his law degree from the Indiana University School of Law. The Judge practiced law in Terre Haute for a number of years before being elected Judge of the City Court for the City of Terre Haute.
