James “Jamie” Richard Schultz, 51, of Indianapolis, passed away on August 17, 2022.
Jamie was born in Indianapolis, IN on May 17, 1971 to Kenneth Schultz and Katherine (McKenzie) Hood. He was a carpet installer for many years. Jamie was the class clown, he had a good sense of humor and was always making jokes. He was headstrong and when you looked up stubborn in the dictionary, his picture was there. For all that he could be a pain, he was the most caring man with the biggest heart. He was always willing to drop everything to help someone out, and if he didn’t have the means, he found them and made it happen.
Jamie loved the outdoors, he went fishing and camping. In the 90s he got into roadrunner racing at the speedrome, a passion he shared with his siblings. He was the baby growing up, and all his other siblings unanimously voted him spoiled. Jamie had a special connection with his mom, and it hurt him deeply when she passed. He loved his family and always wanted to spend time with them. He was taken too soon, but he is now at peace, reunited with his mother Katherine.
Jamie is survived by his wife of 32 years, Donna Schultz; his children Dale and Fanny Jo; his siblings Russell Goodnight, Frances Mullins, Kenny Paul Schultz, Kelly Schultz, and Richland; stepfather Dale Hood; 7 nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Jamie is preceded in passing by his father Kenneth Schultz; his mother Katherine Hood; and his sister Lola Strode.
