James “Jake” McCord Jr., 62, of Anderson, passed away on October 31, 2015 at his residence. He was born on December 31, 1952 in Anderson, Indiana. He retired from General Motors. He was a member of the Moose and the Eagles Lodges. He loved to hunt, collect guns, riding his motorcycle, watching NASCAR and football. He loved to joke and kid around with family and friends. James is survived by his loving spouse, Lorrie (Baker) McCord, children, Jama (Jeff) Patterson, Mike McCord, Misty Heichel, Deanna McLaughlin, Sean (Kelsey) Richardson, Kaylee (Craig) Gooding and Aaron Hall, siblings, Pam Smith, Clifford (Misty) McCord, Garry (Debbie) McCord, several grandchildren, one great-grandchild, sisters and brother-in-law, Michelle (John) Richardson and Sandra Fields, father-in-law, Michael Baker, his dad’s wife, Jan McCord, several nieces and nephews and special friends, Mark (Dawn) Cole, John (Tina) Wilson, Melinda and Rene, Annie Lowe and Thomas Wayne Pruitt and aunt Darlene Pinski and uncle Tommy ( Starr) McCord. He was preceded in death by his father, James McCord, mother, Patsy (Castor) McCord, former wife of 29 years, Marsha McCord, aunt, Pauline Merritt, mother-in-law, Glendora Baker and special friend, Ed Lowe.
