James A. J.A. Rollins Jr., age 83 of Fairmount, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2015, at Visiting Nurse Hospice Home in Fort Wayne, Ind. He was born in Miller, Ark. on October 27, 1931, to the late James A. Rollins, Sr. and Viola Anderson Rollins.
On October 30, 1953, J.A. married Janice Stroup in Fairmount, she preceded him in death on March 17, 2014. He was a press operator at Fisher Body in Marion, retiring after thirty-four years of service. J.A. was a member of the Moose Lodge, Eagles Lodge, the UAW, and the General Motors Sympathy Club. He enjoyed gardening and listening to his brothers play music at the Garage Pickers in Fairmount.
J.A. is survived by his son, Ronald J. (Mary) Rollins, of Ft. Wayne; daughter, Rhonda G. Knutson, of Ft. Wayne; granddaughter, Elizabeth (Donovan) Larmonie, of the Netherlands, and their son, Miles; grandson, Ryan (Aubree) Knutson, of Ft. Wayne; granddaughter, Andrea Knutson, of Ft. Wayne, and her son, Ethan; brothers, Leon Rollins, of Fairmount, and Lee Rollins, of Arkansas; sisters, Janice Cockerham, of Letona, Ark., Shirley Rowe, of Judsonia, Ark., and Maudie Stillman, of Little Rock, Ark. In addition to his parents, and wife, Janice, J.A. was preceded in death by his grandson, Brian Rollins; brothers, Hoover, Troy, Harvey, and Paul; sister,Muriel; son-in-law, Jeff Knutson.
