James L. Harp, 68, of Bloomington, passed away July 15, 2011 at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital.

Born, September 9, 1942 in Odon, IN, he was the son of Lloyd D. and Lucille L. (Crane) Harp. James was a former carpenter, semi tractor trailer driver and he worked in the oil fields in Oklahoma. Most recently he was employed at Landmark Collision Center in Bloomington. He was a member of the AMVETS, American Legion and the National Rifle Assoc. James enjoyed crossword puzzles and gardening.

Survivors include four sisters, Marilyn Sue Kramer from Indianapolis, Norma Jean Knapp (Jack), Shirley Wilson, and Georgia Ann Davis (Larry) all of Bloomington, four daughters, Debra, Tammy Lorrae, Ginger, several nieces, nephews and his dog Scoots.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece Vicki Eagleson.
