James H. Delman, 64, of Holiday City, Berkeley Twp., NJ passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he lived in Toms River for 35 years before moving to Berkeley Twp. in October 2017. James was a Locksmith and Carpenter for the New York City Transit Authority for 38 years, retiring in 2015. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Toms River. James was honored for his service at the 9/11 World Trade Center site. He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Elsie Delman, and his brother Edward Delman.

James is survived by his wife of 38 years, Eda (nee Modugno), his son Christopher Delman and his wife Laurie of Elmwood Park, NJ, two grandchildren Sadie and Elsie-Anna, two brothers William Delman of Hyde Park, NY, Fred Delman of Warren, NH, and three sisters Elsie Strongreen of Middletown, NY, Faith Schlobohm of New Windsor, NY, Gail Ytreboe of Toms River. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews The family will receive friends Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River.
