James H.  “Butch”  Oliver, Jr.,  63, of Huntsville, died Wednesday evening, August 24, 2016, at his home.  He had been in failing health.  James was born January 8, 1953, in Moberly to James Howard, Sr.,  and Joe Anna (Brengarth)  Oliver.

Butch was a member of the Huntsville First Baptist Church.  He had previously attended Sweet Springs Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, Sunday School teacher, and worked with the youth and teen camps, with Pastor Kenneth Sears and Pastor Tim Gibson.  He had worked for Fennels Auto-Body, Norfolk and Southern Railroad,  Westran School District as a bus driver, and his last job was with Olivers Piers and Runners.

He married Deborah “Debbie” Marie Burnett on April 30, 1971, at the Union Avenue Christian Church in Moberly.  She survives of the home.  Also surviving are his children, James Oliver and wife Teresa of Centralia, Daniell Sunderland and husband Joey, Misty Harms and husband Joel, Larry McGuire and wife Kelly all of Huntsville; nine grandchildren, Claryssa, Clayton, Daniel, Addison, Kenzee, Jessica, Azalee, Lynzee, Jamie; a great-grandson Draven; two sisters Linda Kitchen and husband Steve, Glenda Schuchman and husband Jack and one brother, Ben Oliver all of Moberly;  nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Butch enjoyed deer and elk hunting, feeding fish, and traveling.  He loved family get-togethers, and loved to laugh and joke with people.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren, and shared his love of God with family and friends.
