James W. Greenwood, age 73, died Thursday February 19, 2009 at Virtua Memorial Hospital, Mt. Holly. Born in New York City, Mr. Greenwood was a longtime resident of Moonachie, NJ before moving to the Masonic Home of NJ in Burlington Twp. James was a member of St. Margaret of Crotona R.C. Church in Little Ferry, NJ. He was a member and Past Master of the William F. Burk Lodge 230 F&AM in Bogota, NJ. He was raised to the Master Mason degree by his twin brother, the late Frederick T. Greenwood on September 25, 1985.
James was very cheerful and social and enjoyed being around people and he always had a joke ready to tell. He especially loved his family and particularly enjoyed family gatherings. He was very happy at the Masonic Home and made many friends during his time there. Son of the late Frederick and Marie (nee Cannon) Greenwood, James was predeceased by his twin brother Frederick, who died four years to the day of James’ passing. He is survived by his sister and brother in law Marie and Allen Gale of Farmingville, NY as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
