James D. Green of Leeds passed away November 28, 2012 at St. Vincent’s East. He was 88 years old. A veteran of WWII, having served in the Army Air Corp, Mr. Green returned to resume a job with Alabama Gas Company, with whom he worked for over 40 years. He was a loyal member of Valley View Baptist Church. Mr. Green was preceded in death by his parents, E.V. and Jewel Ray Shaw Green and a sister, Betty Goodwin, and her husband James. He is survived by his loving daughters, Jackie Headley (Woodya”deceased), Cindy Stuart (Tommy), Sandra Green, and Carolyn Cook (David). Mr. Green is also survived by his grandchildren, Robin, Lindsay, Lauren, Lacy, Tyler, Alex, Timothy, and Nicholas; as well as great grandchildren, Eli, Connor, Carson, and Colton.
