Dr. James Gordon Creveling Jr., age 88, of Boynton Beach, FL passed away peacefully March 2, 2022.
Jimmy was born in Birmingham, AL on March 21, 1933. He spent his early years growing up in Mexico and Bolivia. After returning to Birmingham, he attended Ramsey High School and graduated in 1951. He went on to graduate from the University of South Sewanee in 1955 and then attended medical school at Washington University in St. Louis, MO graduating in 1959. He served in the United States Air Force in Barksdale, LA. Afterwards he did his residency in Neurology at The Medical College of Virginia. He began his medical practice at Bethesda Hospital in Boynton Beach, FL in 1968 where he was a well-respected neurologist for nearly 40 years. To those who knew and loved him best he will be missed for his memorable “Jimmy jokes.”
He leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Virginia Murray Creveling and his five children: Kelly (Lee) Richardson, Carolyn Creveling, Claude Jarman, Murray (Monique) Jarman, Libba (John) Suddeth, Six grandchildren: Will (Dani) Richardson, Shane (Olivia) Jarman, Nicole and Christine Jarman, Trey Suddeth and Walker Suddeth and most recently a great grandson, Dean Jarman as well as two nephews: Rob Creveling and Clay Creveling. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Gordon and Isabel Creveling and his brother Robert Creveling.
