James F. Woodward, 85, Anderson, died December 30, 2003 at Countryside Manor, Anderson after an extended illness. He was born July 10, 1918 in Elgin, Illinois, and resided in Anderson, Indiana. He lived in this area since 1936. He retired in 1979 from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 40 years of service as a machine design engineer. He served his country in the US Army during WWII. He was a member of Grandview Golf Club, American Legion #127 and was an excellent woodcrafter. He is survived by his Wife whom he married July 15, 1950 in the study of Rev. Lloyd Lanahan of the Evangelical Church in Anderson: Ruth Geneva Kimmerling Remmert Woodward. Two Sons: Robert L. & wife Valerie Remmert of Schaumburg, Illinois. James F. Woodward Jr. of Pendleton. Four Sisters: Marijane & husband Ralph Steinbicker of Florida. Sue McMahan of Florida. Jeanne Harte of Florida. Barbara Schweitzer of Florida. Brother: William & wife Sally Woodward of Florida. Two Grandchildren: Kristopher & wife Kara Woodward of Greenwood. Scott & wife Shannon Woodward of Berlin, Pennsylvania. Four Great Granddaughters. Several Nieces & Nephews. He was preceded by his Parents: Elmer D. & Faye Coleman Woodward. One Brother.
