James (Jim) Louder, 76, passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 20, 2020.
He was born September 14, 1944, in Cincinnati, OH, the son of Bruce and Virginia Louder, the brother of Ron (Marybeth) and Dan (Barb) Louder.
Jim was a 1963 graduate of Roger Bacon High School. He received a bachelor’s degree from Xavier University in 1968 where he also played football and is in their Hall of Fame. He continued his football career with the Boston Patriots. After working in business for many years, Jim began his teaching and coaching career at LaSalle High School from 1988-1998 and finished over 20 years later at North Decatur Jr./Sr. High School. Jim was a mentor and role model to the lives he touched. Greater than his love of sports was his love of family.
He is survived by his beloved wife Gina (Sloan) Louder, whom he married 1979, daughters; Lyndsey Louder, Allie (Andrew) Douglas, and Kim (Ray) Heyob, five ornery grandchildren; Hannah (Chris) Kunkel, Joseph, Benjamin, Jack, and Grace Heyob, and great granddaughter Rebekah Kunkel.
He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Rebekah Heyob.
While observing CDC and state guidelines for social distancing and required facial coverings, a rosary for family and friends will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, September 28th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg followed by public visitation until 8:00 p.m.
