James F. Grenier Sr.- 85, of Leigh Ave., died Sunday December 6, 2009 at his home with his wife by his side. He was the husband to Ada (Rowlison) Grenier.
James was born in Waterbury to the late James and Mary (Meade) Grenier on August 28, 1924. He was proud to serve his country as a WWII Veteran with the U.S. Navy. James worked for many years as a butcher in numerous local grocery stores and retired in 1989 from A&P Grocery. He loved playing cards, watching the Red Sox, playing horseshoes, enjoyed shopping and in his earlier years was a great bowler.
Besides his wife he is survived by three sons, James F. Grenier Jr.
