James F. DeMattia, Jr., 73, of LaSalle, passed away October 4, 2012 at Illinois Valley Community Hospital, Peru.
Mr. DeMattia was born December 26, 1938 to James and Ruth (Thran) DeMattia. He married Sharon Derango on May 29, 1967 in LaSalle. James served in the Navy and the Marine Corps for several years. James worked as a laborer for many years he also owned and operated Demo’s Restaurant in LaSalle from 1983 to 2003. He loved his four chiwawas and also his numerous cats.
He is survived by his wife Sharon of LaSalle; one daughter, Debbie DeMattia of Spring Valley; one son, James DeMattia of Peoria; one sister, Phyllis (James) Dooley of Peru.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Thomas DeMattia.
