James F. “Bud” Collins, 93, of Middletown, passed away on November 29, 2015 at Bethany Pointe Health Campus Anderson, IN. He was born on April 24, 1922 in Elwood, Indiana.
He retired from General Motors and owned and operated Middletown Self Storage.
He was a member of New Horizons United Methodist Church where he served on various church boards and taught the Scattergood Sunday School Class. He was also a life member of the Middletown Masonic Lodge.
James is survived by his sons, William (Susan) Collins, Ron (Becky) Collins and Fred Collins, niece, Joyce (Dick) Caldwell, sister, Mary Lou Barnington, grandchildren, Mark Collins, Kim Bigam, Amy Hitchcock, Cammie Junkersfeld, Betsy Lehnen, great-grandchildren, Hope, Hayden, Madison, Emily, Logan, Austin, Bailey, Talon, Collin, Averie and Chloe, and special friend, Barbara Wood and family.
He was preceded in death by mother, Ethel (Bowyer) Collins, father, Frank R. Collins, wife, Helen Collins, sister-in-law, Hazel F. Porter, brothers, Wilbur and Mathis Collins, sisters, Velma Fisher, Wilma Lockhart, Emma Jean Vautaw and Venetta Keys.
