James Ernest Malpass went home to be with his Heavenly Father surrounded by his family on July 17, 2016. Jim was born June 25, 1932 in Wilson, NC. He served his country in the United States Air Force and as a civil servant for the Department of Defense for 33 ½ years. Jim loved the Lord and blessed those around him with spontaneous humor, smiles, and laughter. He is survived by his wife Joyce and his four children Jim Malpass of Augusta, GA; Pam Shedd of Mobile, AL; David Malpass of Greenville, SC; and Jeff Malpass of Gainesville, FL; along with 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
