James Edward Bailey, 79, of Nokesville, passed on November 1, 2017 in Fairfax. Born in Wilson North Carolina, he was the son of the late William and Mary Bailey. He had retired from the Department of the Navy. He was a Master Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and music, both classical and country and time spent with family. He is survived by his wife Margaret E. B. Bailey, a son, John W. Bailey and his wife Devon Seibert-Bailey, a daughter, Jennifer Bates and her husband Antron T. Bates, three grandchildren, Sydney Bailey, Jasmine Waters and Jayson Waters, a brother, Robert Bailey and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by two brothers, Harvey A. and William Bailey and a sister, Mary Lou Kidd.
