On April 22, 1961, Jim married Carol Ann Goode; she proceeded him in death on May 12, 1988. He married Mary Ellen Wickens Boyd on April 1, 1989: she survives him.
Also surviving are three children: Chris Staley (wife Colette Zeigler-Staley), Wendy Staley-Bryant (husband Tim), and Chanda Healton (husband Josh), three step-children: Tom Boyd (wife Michelle), Todd Boyd (wife Sharon), and Ron Boyd, eight grandchildren: Robert Staley, Carly Bryant, Savannah Healton, Loren Fox, Katie Chason, Olivia Boyd, Madeline Boyd, Sydney Boyd, and one great-grandchild, Jayce Chason.
Jim loved his job and the people he worked with. He loved his family, his dogs, camping, auto racing, antique tractors and family get togethers. He was a loving husband, father and grandpa; he will be missed by many.
