James E. Kingery, 85, Anderson, passed away June 6, 2012 at Community Hospital, Anderson after an extended illness.
He was born October 17, 1926 in Anderson, and resided in Anderson all of his life James was a graduate of Anderson High School and served his country in the US Navy during WWII. He retired from Guide Lamp Division of General Motors after 37 years of service. James was a member of the Anderson West Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He is survived by his wife whom he married December 17, 1944, Dorotha Bedwell Kingery; children, Marsha Wysong Robert of Fort Worth, Texas, Thomas M. Kingery Ginny of Anderson and Joseph Kingery Carla of Anderson; grandchildren, Tyler and Andrew Kingery, Rebecca Heniser, Ben Carney, Joe Carney, Lacey Kingery, Lindsey Green, Dawn Melton, Heather Ancheta, and Brian Wysong; and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Hazel Andrus Kingery; and sister, Katherine Kingery.
