James E. Hoffert, age 64 of 7240 S. County Road 43, Bloomville, Ohio died at 5:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Tiffin Mercy Hospital. He was born on November 18, 1957 in Tiffin, Ohio to Harry G. and Patricia (Smith) Hoffert. James never married.
Surviving are a sister-in-law, Tonia Hoffert, rural Bloomville, Ohio, two nephews, Ryan (Pam) Hoffert, Melmore, Ohio and William (Megan) Hoffert, Bloomville, Ohio. Also surviving are seven great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, John and William Hoffert, Sr.
James was a farmer and at one time worked at National Machinery, Tiffin, Ohio. He was a 1976 graduate of Mohawk High School, member of the Melmore United Methodist Church, and was a member of the Mohawk and Seneca County Historical Societies.
For hobbies, James loved to collect local history, loved to go to auctions and especially loved to collect Wheel Horse tractors. He also loved to hunt.
