James (Jim) D. Hinson Sr. passed away at his home on Friday June 6, 2014. Jim was born on September 5, 1926 to Alex B. and Eva G. Hinson in Akron Ohio. He was Baptist by faith and was a caring and thoughtful person who went out of his way to help others. Jim grew up in Marianna FL where he volunteered at age 17 to join the US Navy and fought for his country during WWII. He attended Florida State University upon returning from the Navy. Jim spent over 30 years with the Dept.
He is survived by his loving Sister Joan (Jo) Farris Erich (Ted), Sons, Danny Hinson (Wendi), Tim Hinson (Pam), grandchildren Reid, Beth and Nathan, Nephews and Niece: Dave Thomas, Debbie West (Eddie), and Kenny Farris.
