James Cody Walbert, 21, of New Carlisle, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2006, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend.
Cody was born on March 1, 1985, in South Bend, to Jim and Cathi (Franks) Walbert, who survive.
He is also survived by his sisters, Tori and Jamie Walbert, both of South Bend; three nieces, Kaylie, Paige and Skyler; his maternal grandparents, Tom and Mary Lee Franks, of South Bend; his maternal great-grandfather, J.E. Vaughn of Alabama; his aunts, Doris Johnston, Glenda Cox and Bobbie Goins, all of Alabama; and his cousins, Vicki Howard and Steve Johnston. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frank and Pearl Walbert.
Cody was employed by Midland Engineering as an apprentice roofer. He loved his dogs, Gus and Skeeter. He enjoyed driving his grandpa’s tractor and collecting farm toys with his dad. He loved hanging out with his buddies, Adam, Jimmy, Tommy and Mike, and loved being with his girlfriend, Tiffany.
