James Clayton Aman 65 of 38 Hamilton Drive died Monday August 30, 2010 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro with his family by his side.

Clayton was born in 1945 in Sampson County to the late Jimmie and Erma Wise Aman. Graduated from East Carolina University in 1967 and also from Mt Olive College, He started his teaching career in 1969 with Sampson County School System at Roseboro-Salemburg and spending over 20 years at Lakewood High School and as a Drivers Ed Teacher for many years. After retiring from the school system. Clayton was the Parts Manager for Lundy’s Packing for over 9 years and Lifetime member of Woodman of the World and Member of Friendly Holiness Church in Newton Grove.

Clayton leaves behind his Wife and Best Friend: Annette Bass Aman of the home Two Daughters: Wendy Aman Barnes and husband Jason of Mt. Holly Mary L. Barefield of Seven Springs, Sister: Orva Aman Thomas and Husband Nelson of Winston Salem, 3 Grandchildren Madyson Barnes, Chalady and Dusty Barefield, 1 Great-Grandchild, Zoe Barefield.
