James Cassens, age 49, of Algona, passed away on August 23, 2020. James Paul Cassens, the son of Ronald S. and Elsie L. (Baker) Cassens, was born on February 23, 1971 in Rock Rapids, Iowa. He graduated from Humboldt High School in 1989. On July 25, 1998 James was united in marriage with Lisa E. Stephens at the Faith United Methodist Church in Humboldt. He had worked and Co-Owned R & J Material and Handling in Fort Dodge. James enjoyed working in his yard, riding his motorcycle and picking on his girls. Left to cherish James’s memory is his wife of 22 years, Lisa; daughters, MacKenzie Leah Cassens of Des Moines and Morganne Paige Cassens of Algona; two brothers, Dave (Tracy) Cassens of Manson and Robert (Cha) Cassens of Henderson, NV; a niece, Taryn (Nate) Myer; and a great niece and nephew, Quin and Kora Myer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Elsie Cassens and grandparents, Fred and Klazina Cassens and Steve and Francis Baker.
