James C. Slaughter, Jr. age 78 of 197 Wayne Robertson Road Chatham, VA died Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at his residence. He was born on December 10, 1933, in Pittsylvania County, the son of the late James C. Slaughter and the late Evelyn Weary Slaughter. He was a member of Sheva Church of Christ. Mr. Slaughter is survived by two daughters, Bonnie S. Zamaitis (Ed) of Mechanicsville, Md. And Amanda S. Vasquez of Lamarque, Texas; two sons, James C. Slaughter, III (Tina) of Chatham and Robert Scott Slaughter (Tammy) of Mechanicsville, MD; seven grandchildren and one deceased great granddaughter.
